Netgear has one of its new products by year’s end, the new home server NAS Netgear Stora. This is a personal file server, with 2 bays for hard drives connected in parallel to have one of the two disks as a copy of the first, if the worst that can happen, that one disk fails, it happens.

Netgear Stora This can be networked through a 1 Gigabit ethernet port, in addition to streaming any document, video or audio file to other computers, is also capable of connecting to games consoles, TV screens, etc … thanks to DLNA and UPnP.

Includes a USB port that can be used to connect a memory or hard drive, also to connect a printer and share it. 

Not bad, plus you can store your files, you can access them from outside your private network, you have an FTP server and a web interface to access your information. It also includes an iTunes server to streaming video and music.

Another of those functions that are not nothing wrong to include more in one of these servers is the ability to upload photos and videos to Facebook or Twitter, directly from this server.
